Frank van Kampen, 46, from Otaki, died after being hit from behind while riding north towards Te Horo on State Highway 1 about 5pm.
Frank will be greatly missed by those friends he made during the time he spent in Leysin Switzerland and particularly at Club Vagabond. On behalf of all his friends from Leysin, now scattered all over the world, Dave and Johanne Smith, owners of Club Vagabond from 1974-1994, offer a tribute to Frank and send their sincere condolences to his family. May Frank Rest in Peace.
